On April 10, 1969, Sweet Adelines issued a charter to the first barbershop chorus in Westchester County, Shoreline Chorus.  The new chorus had 30 members, under the direction of Bob VanWart.

1980 - Another local chorus, Westchester Hills Chorus, disbanded in 1980.  Many of the Westchester Hills members joined the Shoreline Chorus.

1986 - Shoreline Chorus changed their name to Golden Apple Chorus, in keeping with the nickname of Westchester County, the "Golden Apple".  The director at the time was Judy Douglas.

1996 - Members of Golden Apple Chorus were hired to star in a Triscuit commercial that played on national TV.

2002 - Golden Apple Chorus won FIRST PLACE SMALL CHORUS honors at the regional competition in Philadelphia, PA, under the direction of Dr. Anastasio Rossi.

2016 - Golden Apple Chorus awarded MOST IMPROVED chorus honors at the regional competition in Albany, NY, under the direction of Dr. Anastasio Rossi.

2025 -  Golden Apple Chorus awarded MOST IMPROVED chorus honors at the regional competition in Albany, NY, under the direction of Sharon Vitkovsky.
